Yay, finally another 5th Saturday game day coming up this month!  I thought Mike and Sallie might be going to DragonCon but it turns out they're probably not going this year.  They missed the last 5th Saturday because of a wedding.

So just a heads up for anyone who cares, there is a new beast of a dog named Abie now in residence.  He has the largest paws I've ever seen but seems very well mannered so I don't anticipate any problems.  There's a picture up on http://gameday.bynaker.com/

I was hoping that Joe and Will would come down but they have a conflict with Labor Day weekend so while it's not impossible, it's unlikely at this point.  Gretchen has been cleaning her guest room so should they decide to show up they'll have a bed to sleep in.

I've been wanting to try Conquest of the Empire for quite a while but haven't managed to get it to the table.  Anyone interested?  I know there was some talk about it at Beach Week but nothing ever materialized.

Aside from that, having recently been in Colorado for a week I'm itching to play Silverton.

I overheard but didn't get to participate in a game of Hart an der Grenze at my last trip to John's which sounded like great fun so if someone brought that I would not be disappointed.

And finally I'm trying to log at least 1 game played on bgg for everything in my collection and there are a number of older games in my collection that, while certainly played before at some point, have not been played in recorded history.

I would like to play CotE as well. I'm assuming, Rick, that you want to play with the advanced rules? I would need a brief teaching session but I don't think that will take too long. And If we can play it here then that leaves more options open for the Grognards day the following week.

Oh, probably should mention... I've never played CotE, haven't read the rules and don't own the game (although Mike does so we'll have one on site.)

Hey Rick, we may make it down still -- you never know! If we do, though, we won't need to stay overnight. And I'd love to play Silverton with ya! BTW, I have a copy of Die Sieben Siegel for you.... joe

Ahh Rick, I see. Well, I guess I'll take a turn at reading the rules for CotE before 5th Saturday. Hopefully there'll be at least one other person there who wants to play and has played before.

Since the GCOM website is having issues, could you kindly post or e-mail me the location of 5th Saturday Gaming? Thanks!
